Control Systems Engineer (f/m/d)

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of PLC-based control subsystems for laser fusion tech
• Collaborate with scientists to gather requirements and iterate on control solutions
• Own integration of control systems for vacuum, pneumatics, and cooling systems
• Develop PLC software for Beckhoff TwinCAT using Structured Text (IEC 61131-3)
• Commission complex experimental equipment with field debugging and fault-finding
• Specify and implement SCADA systems and HMIs with alarms, logging, data acquisition

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Eng, Control/Automation, Mechatronics, or Physics (PLC-focused)
• 5+ years in plant control, automation, embedded software, or complex sci environments with PLCs
• PLC programming in Structured Text (IEC 61131-3) with modularization, Git, and unit testing
• Experience with SCADA and HMIs with alarms and error handling
• Familiar with EtherCAT, OPC UA, and Modbus TCP
• Knowledge of risk assessment processes and safety standards (ISA 84, IEC 61508)
