Controller (Remote US-Based, Austin, TX preferred)

📋 Description

• Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, payroll, billing, AR/AP, general ledger, and
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and industry compliance standards, mitigating financial
• Drive all aspects of the annual financial audit with external auditors and partner with tax
• Manage the treasury function by overseeing bank accounts, debt facility, compliance reporting, and
• Develop and implement scalable financial systems and processes to support company growth and
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture that supports business

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to communicate complex accounting issues to both
• Experience managing a team and mentoring staff accountants
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks and Maxio) and Microsoft Excel
