Controller (Restaurant Industry Experience)

📋 Description

• Lead full-cycle accounting operations including A/P, A/R, GL, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and payroll.
• Manage month-end and year-end closes, including reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and deferred revenue.
• Oversee inventory accounting and costings for restaurant operations and multi-location stock.
• Maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast and optimize working capital.
• Deliver KPIs reflecting operations, such as food cost, labor cost, and margin trends.
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for leadership to guide decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years as Controller or Senior Accounting role.
• Restaurant accounting experience, preferably multi-location.
• Background in small/medium businesses; fractional or outsourced accounting a plus.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, POS systems, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
