Controls Engineer - Canada

📋 Description

• Own electrical and controls scope from design through commissioning
• Develop control system designs: schematics, single-line diagrams
• Create control panel layouts; BOMs; specify MCCs/VFDs
• Create controls narratives, cause & effect diagrams, PLC/HMI programs
• Review project scope; resolve gaps or ambiguities
• Support field activities: startup, commissioning, troubleshooting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
• Experience with electrical and control panel design
• Experience creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC/HMI programs
• Working knowledge of CSA, NEC, NFPA, and related standards
• Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Schneider/Modicon, GE/Emerson, Siemens)
