Corporate Counsel

📋 Description

• Own the commercial contracts; negotiate vendor agreements, tech/data integrations, and partnerships.
• Drive corporate governance: manage boards/minutes, records; support cap table and equity administration.
• Lead capital markets: support equity and debt financings; build ABS platform; covenant diligence.
• Support M&A from the inside: drafting/negotiation; cross-border deals; post-close integration.
• Partner with People on employment matters; advise on labor questions; equity compensation management.
• Help build international legal playbook for cross-border expansion.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 4–6 years of experience, with depth in two or three areas (commercial contracts, governance, capital markets, M&A, or employment).
• Demonstrated ability to own workstreams independently and make sound judgments.
• Track record of working across functions; communicate legal complexity clearly to non-lawyers.
• Genuine interest in fintech or consumer finance; willingness to learn.
• Comfort with AI-assisted legal workflows (Claude, N8N, or contract automation tools).
