📋 Description

• Patent prosecution and invention harvesting with outside counsel support.
• Manage Elastic's global IP portfolio (patents, copyrights, trademarks).
• Brand protection: domain disputes, takedowns, enforcement.
• Coordinate product regulatory governance and launch readiness with teams.
• Open-source licensing and compliance programs for engineering teams.
• Draft and review commercial contracts; update AI/IP playbooks.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5+ years in patent prosecution, IP or product law; SaaS/open-source a plus.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in science/engineering; software background helpful.
• US or Canadian Patent Bar admission; JD/LLB preferred; patent agents eligible.
• Patent proficiency: drafting/reviewing patent applications and claims.
• Technical curiosity: interest in Generative AI and code/data law.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to simplify complex concepts.
