Corporate Counsel, Servicing and Litigation

📋 Description

• Advise cross-functionally on servicing and collections to ensure compliance.
• Draft and review policies; track changes to requirements.
• Monitor escalations to identify patterns; remediate gaps.
• Manage arbitration agreements; coordinate with outside counsel.
• Advise on third-party vendor and debt buyer agreements; review SLAs.
• Draft notices and communications; advise on hardship/deferral/re-age/charge-off.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership (New York or California preferred).
• 8+ years of legal experience; top-tier firm + in-house fintech experience.
• Demonstrated experience advising on servicing, collections, and litigation in consumer finance.
• Strong business judgment; identify and escalate material risks; propose practical solutions.
• Experience with AI and building automated workflows.
• Highly organized with attention to detail; manage high-volume, multi-workstream portfolio.
