Counsel - Employee Benefits Division

📋 Description

• Monitor, research, interpret, and assess state and federal laws, regulations, and regulatory
• Provide practical legal and compliance guidance to stakeholders on product development, operations
• Support the development, launch, administration, and ongoing compliance of employee benefits and
• Review policy forms, certificates, riders, marketing and training materials, and business processes
• Conduct regulatory research and support insurance department filings, reporting obligations
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify compliance risks, evaluate regulatory implications

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately five years of relevant professional experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong legal research, regulatory analysis, issue-spotting, critical thinking, and problem-solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and build

• Targeted base salary of $145,000–$180,000 per year, with actual compensation varying based on
