Customer Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead the technical side of sales with Account Executives from discovery to win.
• Design elegant data architectures using DuckDB, MotherDuck, and data stack.
• Deliver tailored demos and proofs of concept that wow customers.
• Translate business needs into scalable, cost-effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to incorporate customer feedback.
• Advise customers from pilot to production as a trusted technical advisor.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as data/analytics engineer with SQL, Python, and cloud tooling.
• 2+ years in pre-sales or solutions engineering in data/analytics.
• Hands-on OLAP experience and analytical query optimization.
• Experience building AI-powered automations and agents.
• Experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow; curious about modern data stack.
• Experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or other agent harnesses to empower others.
• Strong communication with customers and cross-functional teams.
