Customer Support Developer (Databases)

📋 Description

• Develop in Java and Kotlin; ship database connectors.
• Assist customers with cloud and open-source integrations.
• Diagnose replication bugs, CDC issues, and query hangs.
• Debug connector logs, query plans, and sync state with Eng.
• Onboard customers; configure SSH tunnels and auth for DBs.
• Contribute to Airbyte connectors and Bulk CDK.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in software eng, data eng, tech support, DevOps, QA, or similar.
• Fluency in SQL; investigate plans, isolation levels, bottlenecks.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin; read/write/debug JVM code.
• Hands-on with relational DBs, data warehouses, lakes; CDC, schema evolution.
• Experience with JDBC and database drivers; debug connections, auth, SSL, SSH.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ELT/ETL knowledge.
