Customs Clearance Specialist

📋 Description

• Independently review and prepare customs documentation for processing and entry releases, ensuring
• Process B3/CAD customs entries in accordance with Canadian and applicable U.S. customs compliance
• Determine appropriate duties, taxes, and HS tariff classifications while ensuring accurate
• Respond to internal and external inquiries by phone, email, Slack, or other designated
• Communicate effectively with clients, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), carriers, freight
• Maintain detailed transaction notes, instructions, client information, and database records

🎯 Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a customs brokerage environment, with experience processing
• Diploma or degree in a relevant field; post-secondary education or business courses related to
• CCS designation or another relevant industry certification; an LCB designation is considered an
• Experience with CANdata or similar customs brokerage systems; familiarity with technology-enabled
• Strong knowledge of customs documentation, B3/CAD entries, HS tariff classification, duties and
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally
