Cytogenetics Technologist

📋 Description

• Transfer and implement G-banding/karyotyping workflow for HSC products.
• Execute cytogenetics workflow: arrest, harvest, hypotonic, slide prep, staining, imaging.
• Compare in-house results to historical data and document QC criteria.
• Analyze metaphase spreads to identify numerical and structural abnormalities.
• Support genomic-stability assessment of human primary cells.
• Culture, passage, expand, bank, and prepare iPSC samples for karyotyping.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on G-banding and karyotype analysis with independent assessments.
• Imaging software experience: MetaSystems/Ikaros or Cytovision.
• Mammalian cell culture with sterile technique.
• High-magnification microscopy proficiency.
• Highly organized; run multiple clone workflows in parallel; weekend rotations.
• Bachelor's or Master's in a related field; CG(ASCP) Cytogenetics certification.
