Data Architect

📋 Description

• Lead conceptual and technical design, development and optimization of data architecture
• Define cloud data foundation using Azure Databricks, including source onboarding and transformation
• Establish patterns for data modelling, storage, ETL/ELT, APIs and MCP interfaces, embed access
• Own architecture decisions, guide legacy decoupling and migration, lead architecture workstreams
• Work closely with business, engineering, governance and operations teams, maintain documentation

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in computer science, business information systems engineering, natural sciences
• Several years of practical project experience in enterprise data architecture, cloud data
• Experience with on-premises and cloud environments, preferably Azure Databricks
• Strong conceptual data modelling and practical data engineering skills, including SQL, NoSQL, APIs
• Excellent collaboration, ownership, analytical, conceptual and stakeholder-management skills
• Fluent in English; German advantageous; travel ability
