Data Center Operations Tier 2 Technician

📋 Description

• Coordinate maintenance with vendors for onsite visits and remote access
• Assist in new client service installations with project teams
• On-call rotation for after-hours support and preventive maintenance
• Travel to remote data centers for custom hardware buildouts as needed
• Share knowledge to cross-train DC Ops and Support teams
• Install hardware and cabling for new IT services

🎯 Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or 4-8 years equivalent tech exp (MOS OK)
• Experience with Ethernet, CAT6, and fiber cabling termination
• Data center maintenance experience; OS and hardware familiarity
• Basic networking terminology and media identification; Windows & MS Office
• Data center cooling and airflow understanding; multitask in fast-paced env
• Strong communication and problem-solving; wiring incl Ethernet/CAT6/fiber
