Data Center Safety Engineer

📋 Description

• Oversee electrical safety programs on UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators
• Conduct regular risk assessments of power systems, cooling, fire/smoke, energy storage, human
• Perform FMEA, HAZOP studies, and other structured risk assessments
• Ensure grounding, bonding, and power quality monitoring/telemetry
• Validate ATS and generator failover procedures from a safety perspective
• Develop emergency response plans for power loss, cooling failures, fires, water events

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial/systems
• Experience with programming PLCs, IoT device administration, and scripting for automation or data
• Proficiency with PFMEA, root cause analysis, statistical process control, and structured
• Experience with CAE / CFD tools (Ansys)
• PE (Professional Engineer) license or CSP/CEM or data-center-specific credentials
