Data Engineer II

📋 Description

• Build and maintain data models in SQLMesh with incremental strategies
• Evolve orchestration and transformation infrastructure as the platform scales
• Modernize legacy pipeline jobs in Python and SQLMesh
• Own features from design through delivery with on-call rotation
• Support finance-critical processes like payouts and revenue reporting with reliable data

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering in production
• Proficiency in SQL (window functions, CTEs, optimization)
• Proficiency in Python for pipelines and testing
• Experience with SQLMesh, dbt, or equivalent (incremental models, testing, documentation)
• Production experience with BigQuery, including partitioning and cost management
• Experience with a workflow orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or equivalent)
