Data Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead a distributed data engineering team; plan sprints and delivery.
• Own ingestion roadmap; coordinate with source systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Workday, and APIs.
• Deliver clean BigQuery datasets; enforce zone model, naming, partitioning, and data contracts.
• Drive engineering practices: CI/CD, IaC, architectural decisions process.
• Operate the platform: observability, incident response, SLA, and GCP cost governance.
• Manage stakeholders; single contact for source-system owners and data consumers; EU data locality.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data/analytics engineering with leadership of a data engineering team.
• Google Cloud delivery: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Composer/Airflow, Dataform or dbt.
• ELT/ETL design; multi-zone lake/warehouse; dimensional and OBT modeling; data quality frameworks.
• Hands-on ingestion from SAP, Salesforce, Workday; REST APIs.
• Product roadmap: backlog mgmt, stakeholder prioritization, clear requirements; Jira/Confluence.
• Strong SQL; Python pipelines; Git-based CI/CD (Bitbucket/GitHub).
