Data Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and supervise the Bangalore data engineering pod (data-platform & analytics).
• Manage capacity, hiring/backfill, and define team charters.
• Foster high-performance culture across Bangalore and EU; onboarding & on-call.
• Plan multi-quarter initiatives: lakehouse (Flink on GKE) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve engineering practices: code quality, IaC, deployment, observability, cost.
• Partner with PM, Backend Eng, Data Science, Analytics to align roadmaps; 50-70% hands-on.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in Data Engineering with leadership experience.
• AdTech industry expertise in programmatic auctions & RTB data.
• Expert Python and SQL.
• Distributed processing with Spark, Spark Streaming, Flink.
• Kafka for high-throughput event streaming.
• GCP data stack: BigQuery, GKE, GCS, Dataflow/Vertex AI.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform.
• CI/CD for data pipelines: ArgoCD, Docker.
