Data Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and grow a Data Engineering team with ownership and quality.
• Define team direction for data modeling, pipelines, quality, observability.
• Partner with engineering, product, analytics, risk, and ops to translate needs into scalable data solutions.
• Design reliable batch and near real-time data pipelines for internal/product use cases.
• Improve standards across SQL, dbt, Spark, Airflow, and Databricks.
• Contribute to org-wide planning where Data Eng interfaces with Data Platform and AI enablement.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering, with prior people management experience.
• Strong hands-on foundation in modern data engineering.
• Experience designing and operating scalable data pipelines and datasets used by multiple downstream stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects end to end, from problem definition to rollout.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; practical understanding of data quality, governance, reliability, and production environments.
