Data Governance Policy & Controls Specialist

📋 Description

• Lead the drafting, review, implementation, and periodic renewal of data governance policies
• Design and maintain the overarching data governance framework and own the full policy lifecycle.
• Ensure policies align with regulatory requirements, translate them into actionable governance
• Oversee the enterprise-wide implementation of data governance initiatives and monitor compliance
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits relating to the Enterprise Data Office.
• Implement the enterprise data stewardship program, defining and operationalising data ownership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, risk, compliance, or policy/controls roles.
• Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, insurance, telecom, etc.).
• Prior experience running change management, training programs, or culture-building initiatives.
• Working knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT) and relevant
