Data Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Owning how data is organized, who can access what, and how reliably it operates across Snowflake
• Bringing structure and clear ownership to data organization across projects and teams in Snowflake
• Designing narrow, role-based access controls and automating access management
• Extending row access policies and PII masking across sensitive datasets
• Migrating data from vendor and internal sources into governed environments
• Owning Fivetran connector health and cost, Airflow/Astronomer pipeline reliability, and Hex

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration: roles, grants, warehouses, cost/performance
• Experience designing data access and governance models (RBAC, row-level security, PII) at scale
• Comfort owning vendor tooling end to end (Fivetran, Airflow/Astronomer, or similar), including
• Track record migrating or re-architecting live production data systems
• Strong SQL and Python skills with infrastructure fluency
• Experience owning CDC/streaming pipelines in production (Debezium, Kafka, Snowpipe Streaming or
