Database Migration Engineer

📋 Description

• Convert SQL, stored procedures, and objects to PostgreSQL SQL/PLpgSQL; escalate complex cases.
• Work through AWS SCT findings, flagging limitations needing senior review.
• Maintain the Flyway migration codebase: versioned scripts, migrations, rollbacks.
• Monitor AWS DMS during full load and CDC; flag issues to lead engineer.
• Validate and reconcile data between source and target databases.
• Work with application teams to align SQL behavior before cutover.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years as a database developer/engineer with migration exposure.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on migration projects (Oracle-to-PostgreSQL or SQL Server-to-PostgreSQL).
• Solid SQL skills and knowledge of query performance tuning.
• Familiarity with AWS SCT and AWS DMS; hands-on preferred.
