DB2 / IMS Database Administrator

📋 Description

• Administer, maintain, monitor, and optimize IBM Db2 for z/OS and IMS databases in large-scale
• Create, modify, and maintain database objects, implement database changes, and support application
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, and storage capacity; investigate performance
• Execute and manage database maintenance utilities, including REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, and UNLOAD, as
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures, troubleshoot restoration issues, and
• Resolve production incidents, service requests, and change activities, conducting root-cause

🎯 Requirements

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM Db2 for z/OS and IMS DB/DC administration in
• Strong expertise in Db2 and IMS database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, backup
• Practical experience with Db2 backup and recovery utilities, DB2 Platinum utilities, IMS
• Knowledge of Db2 BIND/REBIND, access-path analysis, SQL performance tuning, and IBM utility restart
• Strong understanding of IBM z/OS mainframe environments, JCL, and TSO/ISPF.
• Experience supporting business-critical production systems, including data-sharing environments
