DFM Engineer - Injection Molding

📋 Description

• Analyze 3D CAD part designs for Injection Molding and tooling.
• Review DFM reports and challenge solutions.
• Communicate with customers via video calls, gather feedback across Europe and Asia.
• Optimize 3D CAD designs to improve feasibility.
• Join meetings to fix quality claims for Injection Molding and tooling with cross-functional teams.
• Attend pre-sales meetings and support technical questions for potential projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Higher engineering education in thermoplastic processing, plastic part design, mechanical design.
• Experience on production floor with plastic processing or molding-ready parts development.
• Expert knowledge of thermoplastic processing, injection molding design rules, tool design basics, quality issues and root causes.
• Understanding of Mold Flow analysis and results.
• Knowledge of plastic post-processes: pad-printing, silk-screening, spray painting, chroming, hot foil stamping.
• Knowledge of other tooling technologies: Vacuum Casting, Compression Molding, Investment Casting, Sand Casting, Metal Injection Molding.
