Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Supported/Community Living Program

📋 Description

• Work 1:1 with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in home and community
• Help individuals stay active and engaged by providing transportation to community events, hobbies
• Assist with household duties including cleaning, laundry, meal prep, budgeting, and establishing
• Enrich and support the lives of persons served while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care
• Assist with activities of daily living, including community-based supports

🎯 Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required for the Supported/Community
• Prefer personal or professional experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental
• Ability to work independently and be resourceful to problem solve without direct supervision
• Dependable, adaptable, flexible
• Effective communication skills (reading, writing, documentation, collaboration)
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, attire and personal presentation when interacting with
