Director, Data Platform

📋 Description

• Lead the Data Platform Team across Snowflake, governance, access, FinOps, ingestion, medallion
• Own the domain connections: one governed connection per data domain via MCP/server/API/SQL/event
• Define and enforce access controls, authentication, and authorization across all data domains.
• Drive platform cost governance, budgeting, and cost transparency for the data estate.
• Establish platform standards for performance, resilience, and security; shape the operating model.
• Partner with Security, Engineering, Product, and Security to ensure governance and scalability.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in data engineering/platform engineering/architecture.
• 5+ years in a leadership role with platform strategy and team leadership.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience: architecture, performance tuning, security, WLM, FinOps.
• Experience with data governance programs and access models (RBAC, domain access).
• Proven data ingestion patterns (batch, CDC, streaming), medallion architectures.
• Experience with event streaming and messaging (Kafka, MuleSoft or equivalents).
