Director, Design Engineering, Cardiac Product Development

📋 Description

• Lead cross functional product development teams to develop cardiac instrument and accessory
• Directly manage an organization of design engineers and multiple cross-functional programs from
• Set long-term vision, align goals with business strategy, and create roadmaps with regulatory, PMO
• Coordinate with regulatory, product management, and PMO to deliver on time with quality and cost
• Communicate plans and status to senior executives; champion design innovation and IP creation.
• Ensure development processes are effectively applied and evolved to support business needs.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field
• 12+ years in medical product development or relevant R&D
• 5+ years in people management and managing managers
• Experience with design control (ISO 13485) and risk management (ISO 14971)
• Experience developing cardiovascular surgical/interventional devices
• Strong mechanical design skills for small, precision medical devices; effective hiring and
