Director Financial Reporting (Mat Leave Coverage)

📋 Description

• Oversee the ongoing accounting function and financial reporting calendar to meet critical reporting
• Be the in-house technical accounting expert ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local laws in US
• Manage relationships with external auditors and government authorities
• Prepare complex technical accounting and tax memos, working papers, and consolidated financial
• Participate in global tax planning and strategy (transfer pricing, SR&ED) and coordinate tax
• Oversee sales tax compliance and follow-ups

🎯 Requirements

• CPA plus experience at a top tier accounting firm and industry experience
• 8 years' experience leading global accounting operations as a Controller/Director
• 4 years of people management experience
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and note disclosures
