Director, Global Quantum System Deployment

📋 Description

• Build, lead, and scale Rigetti's Field Engineering org.
• Own end-to-end deployment of on-premise quantum systems.
• Oversee deployment of superconducting qubits, cryogenic and RF/microwave hardware.
• Serve as senior escalation point during deployments.
• Establish deployment processes, standards, training, and metrics.
• Drive continuous improvements in deployment efficiency and lifecycle support.

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred).
• 10+ years deploying or integrating complex hardware systems.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong systems engineering across mechanical, electrical, software, networking, and controls.
• Experience with Quantum computing, Cryogenic systems, RF/microwave, Semiconductor equipment, or Scientific instrumentation.
• Excellent customer-facing leadership and communication skills; travel 30–40%.
