Director, Hardware Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead and grow the Hardware Engineering organization; set the technical roadmap.
• Report to the CTO; drive hardware strategy, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Balance hands-on leadership with strategic partnership; develop your team.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to meet product goals.
• Oversee hardware projects end-to-end; meet time and budget constraints.
• Identify improvements to increase velocity and speed of product releases.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in hardware or mechanical engineering; at least 4 years in people leadership.
• Track record delivering multiple complex hardware products from concept to production.
• Strong technical depth in mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering.
• Experience developing engineering talent and building high-performing teams.
• Exceptional cross-functional communication; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker translating business goals into technical direction; drive execution.
