Director, Inventory & Cost Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead buildout of inventory and cost of sales accounting, processes, and close.
• Develop and manage standard costs; partner with FP&A on budgets/forecasts.
• Subject matter expert for inventory accounting, standard costing, and COGS.
• Own design and NetSuite implementation for inventory costing with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly inventory and COGS close, reconciliations, journals.
• Partner with Supply Chain, FP&A, and external manufacturers to understand activity and variances.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. inventory and cost accounting in manufacturing, biotech, life sciences.
• Experience building or improving inventory and cost accounting processes in a public company.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP related to inventory and cost of sales.
• Strong ERP experience including inventory costing, manufacturing workflows, and system implementations.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience directly managing and coaching team members.
