Director, Labor and Employment Counsel (APAC)

📋 Description

• Lead the resolution of complex employee relations, labor and union matters, including disputes
• Lead and advise on complex and sensitive workplace investigations, including matters involving
• Advise on disciplinary proceedings, performance management, workforce reductions, and terminations
• Support strategic business initiatives, including reorganizations, restructurings, M&A
• Advise on labor and employment requirements across multiple jurisdictions, helping the business
• Partner with HR and Ethics & Compliance to develop, interpret, and enforce global and local

🎯 Requirements

• Admission to practice law in at least one common law jurisdiction, preferably Australia, Singapore
• A minimum of 12 years' post-qualification experience in labor and employment law including
• At least 5 years of in-house legal experience within a multinational organization, or a combination
• Demonstrated experience across multiple APAC jurisdictions, such as India, Singapore, China, Japan
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, sensitive, and high-profile employment matters
• Strong knowledge of employment law principles and practical experience supporting workforce
