Director of Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead a Real Estate Accounting Team (typically 5–7+ team members, including people managers)
• Develop leaders through coaching, workforce planning, succession preparation, and effective
• Design and evolve the future structure, tools, and processes of the accounting function to meet
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, monthly/quarterly close processes, and preparation of
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, FASB guidelines, internal control standards, and REIT‑related reporting
• Identify and resolve complex accounting issues, ensuring accuracy in financial data, schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred, but not a requirement)
• 10+ years of experience related relevant areas of expertise.
• 5+ years’ experience leading a large team.
• Confident communicator with the level of maturity and presence necessary to influence senior
• Thrives on driving innovation and change that will propel the business forward.

• Expected pay range of $170,000 - $190,000 base salary plus annual target bonus
