Director of Autonomy

📋 Description

• Own the autonomy stack — Perception, Prediction, Planning, Controls, Localization.
• Set and own the multi-year technical roadmap for the autonomy stack.
• Build the autonomy org: hire senior talent, define cadence, ensure delivery.
• Be the primary autonomy interface to Systems, Safety, Platform, Hardware, and Product.
• Stay hands-on: participate in design reviews and debug hard problems.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years building production autonomy systems across localization, perception, planning, controls.
• Proven track record shipping autonomy components in production on real vehicles at scale.
• Direct management of autonomy/robotics teams with 15+ engineers, including senior staff.
• Experience running operating cadence: planning, prioritization, reviews, performance management.
• End-to-end ownership of an autonomy stack.
• Fluency with modern deep learning for autonomy (training, evaluation, deployment).
