Director of Data

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow a data team while hands-on with architecture, modeling, and analytics.
• Contribute as an IC in data engineering, infra, and analytics to ensure quality.
• Lead data strategy across core systems (Redshift, dbt, Opensearch) and self-serve tools like Omni.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Eng, Marketing, Ops, Finance for trusted analytics.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, priorities, metrics, and roadmap.
• Foster data quality culture, ownership, docs, self-service, experimentation.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, ML, or related roles.
• 5+ years leading data/analytics/engineering/ML teams.
• Strong SQL, dbt, data modeling, and warehouse architecture experience.
• Experience building self-serve analytics with Omni, Looker, Amplitude, Statsig.
• Experience leading data initiatives from planning to adoption.
• EdTech experience or learner-centric products; familiar with search/recommendations.
