📋 Description

• Define the Ads data vision and strategy, incl. ML, ranking, and data pipelines.
• Lead and grow the Ads Data team (Applied Scientists, Analytics Engineers).
• Own the long-term technical roadmap; translate into priorities and staffing.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to design and run the operating model.
• Drive business impact through hands-on ML work when needed.
• Salary range SF: $276,000–$379,500; equity and benefits available.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in data science, applied ML, or ML engineering (ads a plus).
• 4+ years managing technical teams of 5+ people, incl. senior ICs.
• Direct experience with ads marketplaces, auctions, or search/recommendation.
• Ability to set technical vision and translate into roadmaps and outcomes.
• Comfort across ML modeling, data engineering, and analytics infra.
• Strong cross-functional partner to define operating models and drive execution.
• Excellent communication; can switch between technical depth and business narrative.
• Comfort with ambiguity; thrives as the team grows in a fast-moving environment.
