Director of Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI)

📋 Description

• Manage a span of roughly twenty engineers, including staffing, performance, growth, and career
• Partner with AI Practice Lead on hiring, onboarding, onboarding, and enablement frameworks
• Direct team staffing strategy in partnership with Resource Management
• Oversee contractor operations
• Maintain a billable client portfolio (~50% focus) as a fractional advisor and platform leader
• Lead technical delivery in AI SDLC, AI governance, agentic deployments, and cloud platform/pipeline

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience, including significant leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering leaders and managers, with a track record of scaling
• Proven ability to build high-functioning organizational infrastructure (recruiting engines
• Deep technical strength in platform, pipeline, and infrastructure architecture
• Hands-on expertise deploying production AI/ML systems, with primary focus on platform architecture
• Deep Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience or proven technical agility to master GCP-centric
