📋 Description

• Serve as the connective tissue for the London office, ensuring engineers feel part of a single
• Act as the primary executive conduit between Waymo Foundation and Google DeepMind teams in the UK
• Define the technical roadmap for the London Sim Realism team, aligning with simulation/AI-first
• Direct research and engineering of cutting-edge generative models for sensor- and semantic-level
• Recruit, manage, and mentor a top-tier Sim Realism engineering organization across ML, generative
• Partner with Real Estate & Workplace Services to design and support a site strategy.

🎯 Requirements

• A PhD or Master’s in CS, ML, robotics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record leading large, fast-paced engineering orgs in research-driven environments.
• Deep expertise in ML, generative foundation models, and/or complex simulation environments.
• Ability to drive multi-year, cross-functional projects from conception to global impact.
• Extensive experience developing senior engineers, staff engineers, and tech leads/managers.

🎁 Benefits

• Salary range £230,000 — £242,000 GBP; bonus/equity eligibility as per company program.
