Director of Engineering (Product)

📋 Description

• Partner with Product and broader cross-functional stakeholders to define squad goals and align
• Balance company and squad goals with business constraints to develop a staffing strategy
• Identify and advance key technical decisions impacting squads' ability to deliver goals at high
• Establish practices that bake quality into the development process
• Operate as escalation point for major production issues
• Directly recruit, hire, and manage team members across multiple squads

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience in technical leadership roles (tech lead, manager, director)
• Hands-on development and design experience with demanding architectures
• Ability to onboard to a variety of tech stacks (React, Python, AWS, MongoDB)
• Successfully managed and scaled multiple teams
• Shepherded engineering organizations through major technical decisions
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments
