Director of Engineering, Trust & Safety

📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers in Trust & Safety at Strava.
• Partner with AI/ML to set strategy for LLM-based auto-moderation.
• Identify and drive capabilities and tech investments for trust & safety.
• Partner with Product, Policy, Legal, Design, Ops to deliver priorities.
• Build an inclusive, high-accountability team culture.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in Trust & Safety; 5+ years in management (2+ managing managers).
• Full stack experience with 10+ years of systems engineering.
• Hands-on fluency with AI/ML for content moderation (LLM classifiers).
• Experience leading multiple teams of engineers, including managers.
• Partner with Product, Policy, Legal, Design, Ops to balance priorities.
• Track record delivering Trust & Safety for consumer apps with UGC.
