Director of Hardware

📋 Description

• Lead vehicle platform end-to-end (mechanical, electrical, EM)
• Set multi-year hardware roadmap and architecture
• Own subsystem interfaces: sensors, compute enclosures, wiring
• Drive design-for-manufacturing for high-volume production
• Manage hardware team and deliver against roadmap
• Lead drive-by-wire and safety-critical systems with vendor qualification

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of hands-on hardware engineering on shipped products
• Dual depth in mechanical and electrical engineering
• Direct management of hardware/robotics teams across disciplines
• Cadence leadership: planning, design reviews, and PM
• From architecture through pilot build to volume production
• Experience with electromechanical actuation systems and controls
