Director of Revenue Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead ASC606 and ASC310 application across all revenue streams (lending and subscriptions).
• Develop, implement, and maintain revenue recognition policies for products and services.
• Collaborate with data engineering to transform revenue data into a reporting-focused model.
• Reconcile revenue data across systems; identify discrepancies and drive fixes with data/engineering.
• Own revenue month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Build and develop a high-performing revenue team and coach managers.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in revenue accounting, including Big 4 and industry.
• Background at late-stage/public fintech or ecommerce with high transaction volumes.
• CPA license; expert GAAP knowledge, ASC606 & ASC310.
• Proven success leading revenue accounting in high-growth environments.
• Owned revenue accounting through at least one external audit cycle and improved close processes.
• Excellent organization, detail-oriented; strong written and verbal communication; translate guidance for non-finance.
