Director, Platform Engineering (EMEA)

📋 Description

• Lead EMEA platform engineering teams to deliver the roadmap.
• Integrate Europe engineers into the EMEA structure with continuity.
• Grow the region with multiple capability teams and hire regionally.
• Deputize for the VP: align two regions for platform coherence.
• Stay hands-on for architecture and design reviews.
• Own reliability and on-call/incident response quality.

🎯 Requirements

• Track record building and leading software engineering teams.
• Experience reorganizing an existing team and changing reporting structures.
• Engineering leadership with direction and delivery; credible in design reviews.
• Understanding of cloud services: virtualization, storage, networking, multi-tenancy, bare metal.
• Hardware knowledge to reason about software meeting GPU, fabric, and storage reality.
• Experience taking software from early stage to production and deputizing across time zones.
