Director, Privacy Legal

📋 Description

• Manage the Legal team’s support of Reddit’s global privacy compliance program. Provide advice and
• Implement and maintain external and internal privacy- and legal-related policies and processes in
• Manage government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on privacy and data
• Be the lead legal subject matter expert for privacy and data protection, ensuring consistency in
• Partner with and advise technical teams to investigate potential privacy and security issues and
• Be a strategic, proactive and pragmatic legal partner and collaborator with high EQ.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree (JD, LLB, LLM, etc.). You are locally licensed in your jurisdiction, and ideally you
• 12+ years of legal experience, at a top law firm or in house, with 5+ years of in-house privacy
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a successful privacy compliance program in a fast
• Experience with global privacy laws and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant
• Strong legal drafting and writing skills and a penchant for concise, plain English writing.
• Experience responding to and partnering with regulators, particularly in Europe.
