Director, Product Design

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a design team across multiple product pods, including hiring and growth.
• Partner with the VP of Design on strategy and scaling the design org.
• Create conditions for designers to do their best work; align stakeholders and dependencies.
• Set and maintain craft across the platform: interactions, visuals, and design systems.
• Define how product design operates with AI tools and AI-driven experiences.
• Act as strategic design partner to senior Product and Engineering leaders.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in product design with 3–5 years of people management.
• Portfolio showing leadership across complex, multi-surface products with impact.
• Proven ability to develop designers and build team culture.
• Deep craft across interaction, visual design, and design systems.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leadership.
• SaaS/B2B product experience; nonprofit or AI-native/automation experience a plus.
