Director, Regulatory Compliance & Export Controls

📋 Description

• Lead regulatory licensing and compliance for satellite operations (NOAA, FCC/ITU)
• Lead and improve Export Control and Trade Compliance programs (EAR, ITAR)
• Develop export classifications (ECCN/USML), licensing strategies, and TCPs
• Collaborate with Eng, Mission Ops, Security, IT, and Product across the lifecycle
• Serve as primary compliance advisor for international collaborations, suppliers, and tech transfers
• Oversee regulatory compliance for spacecraft development, launch campaigns, and debris mitigation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, International Trade, Business, Law, or related discipline
• 8+ years in aerospace, defense, satellite, remote sensing, or other regulated industries
• Experience administering EAR and ITAR compliance programs
• Experience classifying hardware, software, and data under U.S. export regulations
• Experience developing and implementing Technology Control Plans (TCPs) and export procedures
• Experience supporting spacecraft, satellite, launch, Earth observation programs
