Director, Risk

📋 Description

• Build and own the risk tolerance framework, including delinquency guardrails, fraud targets
• Establish second-line risk governance and define areas requiring Risk approval before
• Establish and lead the Risk Committee, including meeting cadence, reporting packages, escalation
• Govern first-line credit and fraud operations, providing leadership and developing the capabilities
• Partner directly with Product and Engineering to translate risk policies into product logic
• Collaborate with Sales to establish and maintain appropriate risk appetite and commercial

🎯 Requirements

• 8–10+ years of professional experience in risk management, with significant experience in credit
• At least 3 years of experience leading teams and developing risk professionals or operational
• Demonstrated ability to balance rigorous risk management with business growth, with specific
• Direct experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to translate risk policies into
• Strong cross-functional influence and communication skills, particularly when navigating risk
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements including BSA/AML, UDAAP, and card-issuing compliance.
