Director, Sub Assemblies Manufacturing

📋 Description

• Define and execute manufacturing strategy for subassemblies, TCS, and ECLSS.
• Lead cross-functional manufacturing execution with Eng, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test.
• Translate program requirements into operating models and capacity roadmaps.
• Drive DFM, DFA, and DFT through early engagement with engineering.
• Own prototype-to-production transitions; establish tooling and processes.
• Develop make/buy strategies and decide which subassemblies to insource vs outsource.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Eng, or related field.
• 10+ years leading manufacturing engineering or production for complex hardware.
• 8+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
• Experience with complex mechanical assemblies, fluid/thermal hardware.
• Proven DFM, production readiness, process development, and prototyping.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and NASA-like regulations; test methods.
• Lean manufacturing principles; CAD/PLM; MES/ERP to boost quality.
