Electrical Engineer- Data Centers

📋 Description

• Lead electrical engineering evaluations for prospective data center sites, colocation
• Evaluate power capacity, utility availability, distribution systems, and infrastructure readiness.
• Define assumptions for power distribution topology, electrical capacity, redundancy strategies, and
• Assess utility interconnection, on-site generation, UPS systems, and redundancy configs (N, N+1
• Provide Go/No-Go recommendations based on electrical feasibility and risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery across acquisition to development.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data center electrical engineering, power systems design, or
• Strong expertise in medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, and utility
• Experience evaluating electrical feasibility for data center sites before commercial commitments.
• Solid understanding of capacity planning, redundancy architectures, and capex trade-offs.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data centers or AI infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; PE license or similar is a plus.
