Electrical Engineer, Design Validation

📋 Description

• Validate Waymo hardware through board/module level tests with EE and software teams.
• Electrical validation across silicon, board, system; cover high/low speed interfaces, PDN
• Meet deadlines and priorities for validation tasks.
• Document validation results; track bugs; communicate test plans and results.
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Develop scripts/automation to improve validation efficiency and scalability.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering; 5+ years hardware validation experience.
• Strong communication and project management to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Experience bench-testing: oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supplies, analyzers, spectrum
• Practical knowledge of signal and power integrity; identify SI/PI risks via validation.
• Understanding of board schematics/layout; identify probe locations and potential DUT failures.
• Familiarity with Cadence Allegro or Altium; ability to read schematics/layout.
